Fourth Precinct Report, Aug. 2-9

Police report an arrest and incidents of theft, damage and identity theft.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • Carlos Monzon-Rodas, 20, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with DWI at the intersection of Central Avenue and Lord Avenue in Lawrence.

  • An unknown suspect broke the rear passenger side window of a vehicle that was parked on Westwood Road in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 2.
  • An unknown person stole an EZ-Pass from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Washington Avenue in Lawrence, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 3.
  • An unknown person damaged the metal frame of the front entrance door of on Broadway in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 5.
  • A resident of Chestnut Street in Cedarhurst reported to police on Aug. 5 that they were the victim of identity theft when a fraudulent PayPal account was opened in their name.
  • An iPod and GPS unit were removed from a vehicle that was parked on Bayview Avenue in Inwood, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 6.
  • A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle that was parked at the Inwood LIRR station, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 8.
