Hewlett Designer's Work to be Given to Golden Globe Nominees

Andrea Bernstein hand crafts glass pendants.

The work of a Hewlett designer will find its way into the hands of some of this year’s Golden Globe nominees.

Andrea Bernstein, owner of AB Glass Jewelry, hand crafted “Tree of Life” pendants that will be distributed to 100 nominees from Jan. 11-12 at the GBK Productions Luxury Gift Lounge in Los Angeles.

“It is deeply rewarding to know that Golden Globe celebrities will be wearing one of my creations, as every pendant is a representation of my spirit,” Bernstein said. “Each one-of-a-kind design signifies one's ability to thrive despite adversity.”

This is Bernstein’s debut contribution to the gift lounge. The designer’s Tree of Life collection was inspired by a tree outside her window as a child. The pendants are made by cutting a sandwich of three layers of glass, Bernstein said.

Each tree is then hand-engraved onto the diachronic glass. Once prepared, the elements must be fired in a kiln for more than two hours, cooled for eight hours and then polished before returning to the kiln for a final fire, according to a press release.
