The Lawrence Republican Club was founded in 2012 by Legislator Howard J. Kopel and Uri Kaufman to provide the growing number of Republican voters in the Five Towns, and particularly in Lawrence, an effective means to expand their involvement in the local political process, and influence within the Nassau County Republican Party.

Winning the First Place Award at this year's convention indicates the both the great need and interest among area voters for an organization such as the Lawrence Republican Club.
