Oceanside Lutheran Church to take part in Interfaith Council of Oceanside Easter Morning Sunrise Service on the Beach at Lido Beach Town Park

The Oceanside Lutheran Church will take part  in  Interfaith Council of Oceanside Easter morning services on the Beach at 6am on Easter Sunday, April 20th at Lido Beach Town Park in Lido Beach.

The ecumenical event that has been held annually for more than 20 years.  The Interfaith Council of Oceanside church members participating will include: Oceanside Lutheran Church, United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian.

According to Pastor Danielle Miller, of the Oceanside Lutheran Church, in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy last year's observance was impacted because the dunes were washed away and all walkways were covered with sand.  Worshippers are looking forward to returning this year when the site will once again resemble its past, and serve as an Easter symbol or re-birth and resurrection.
