Our Final Concert of the Year at Andrew J. Parise Park

Jonathan Blair opened up our final pre-show of the year at Andrew J. Parise Park on Tuesday. Children of all ages surrounded Jonathan while he handpicked a few to help him perform his unique style of magic. Blair is well known for his seamlessly blend of magic, wit and sleight of hand with a gift for engaging audiences. After his performance, the young and talented Jason Eras, Cedarhurst Resident who is beginning 9th grade at Lawrence High School sang the National Anthem under the gazebo. His voice echoed throughout the park while Cedarhurst sang along. Once the voices in the park begun to fade the talented and Cedarhurst favorite band Risky Business were getting ready to perform our last concert of the year.

Risky Business is an amazing nine-piece 60s and 70s rock, R&B, and Motown band out of New York. These nine members have an infectious groove laid down by a soulful rhythm section and sultry saxophone. They have been performing since 1987 and have played in a variety of settings from local clubs to big venues. Their combination of free association music list and audience request was a great finale for our “Under the Gazebo Concerts”. While it was sad to know it was our final concert, this did not stop Cedarhurst from getting up and dancing the night away.

Mayor, Andrew J. Parise and the Board of Trustees personally want to thank our great sponsors for making this concert something to remember. ***TD Bank, *Maidenbaum Property Tax Reduction Group, LLC,
**U.S. Flags & Foreign Flags/ Joe & Audrey Candella, H2O Spa, Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream,
Cedarhurst Fashion Opticians, and GS Shell, without these great sponsors we would not be able to perform these great concerts.
