Hofstra to Offer Free Legal Assistance Clinic Veterans

Legal advice will be available on April 7, free of charge.

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and the Nassau County Veteran Service Agency (VSA) remind local veterans that legal advice will be available on April 7, free of charge, thanks to the efforts of the Hofstra Veterans Law Student Association (VLSA).

The free legal assistance clinic, which is open to all veterans, will have attorneys available who specialize in elder law, tax, wills, estate, family law, VA benefits and claims, disability, employment USERRA, housing, bankruptcy, debtor/creditor matters, medicare/medicaid and landlord-tenant issues.

“I am grateful to the Hofstra for undertaking this event in support of our veterans,” said County Executive Mangano. “We must never forget the sacrifices our military personnel make on a daily basis for our nation. Programs such as this assist the men and women who protect our safety and freedom.”
