Peninsula Lane Closures Tuesday
Peninsula Boulevard in Hewlett brought down to one lane as crews begin work.
Eastbound Peninsula Boulevard shrank to one lane in Hewlett Tuesday.
Crews closed down several hundred feet of the left eastbound lane on Peninsula just east of Harris Avenue in Hewlett Tuesday. The main road is being resurfaced after a previous project last year.
“The resurfacing of Peninsula Boulevard is important as this roadway serves as a critical transportation route for the Five Towns and surrounding communities,” County Executive Mangano said in a statement last month. “This project, along with improvements to Branch Boulevard and Broadway, demonstrates our commitment to Nassau County's roadways.”
