Video: Growers’ Market Debuts at Grant Park

“Green” marketplace offers home-grown produce and treats every Friday.

A “green,” all-natural farmers market opened on June 3 in  in Hewlett. The market is, in part, a fundraising effort on behalf of the Hewlett-Woodmere Public School Endowment Fund and offers all manner of delicious and nutritious fruits, veggies, and treats.

This is an exciting idea and a great way to introduce school kids to local artisans. Much better than a bake sale.
