Video: Ogden Second Graders Donate $10K to School for Kids With Cancer
Kids, observing "Make A Difference Day," were inspired by a Wantagh boy who lost his battle to cancer.
Second grade students at Ogden Elementary School managed to turn the $1,300 they raised by doing good deeds for Make A Difference Day into $10,000, which they donated to The Morgan Center, a school for children with cancer.
Their teachers had entered their achievement into a contest, which awarded them the money. The kids were motivated by the tale of a Wantagh child, Jack Perlungher, a student of The Morgan Center who had tragically fallen to his illness recently.
