Photos: Church Celebrates 100 Years with Variety Show

Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Inwood features singers, musicians and dancers during final event of 100th year celebration.

Wrapping up a year of events to celebrate 100 years of existence, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Inwood held a variety show Sunday featuring parishioners who sang, danced and played instruments.

"For the 100th anniversary we had to do something nice," said  Sarah Van Zuilen, who produced, directed and sang in the show. " We put it on in two months. Most of us are non-professional."

The show featured performances by the Our Lady of Good Counsel band and choir,  Lawrence High School Color Guard, United Choral Society and Gary Schall, assistant superintendent of the Lawrence School District, on the xylophone.
