Booze Ban, Extra Trains Planned for St. Patrick's Day

14 extra trains scheduled for Monday's parade in NYC.

St. Patrick’s Day parade-goers will have more chances to get to New York City for the big parade as LIRR adds 14 trains to Monday’s schedule.

MTA announced six westbound trains and eight eastbound trains will be added to Monday’s usual schedule for those traveling into the city for the parade.

The green beer will have to wait until you get to the pub, however, as LIRR announced that no alcohol will be allowed on trains, platforms, or at stations from 12:01 a.m. Monday through 5 a.m. Tuesday. MTA Police will confiscate any alcohol seen at those locations.
