Cedarhurst Business District Announces Black Friday Weekend

Many of Cedarhurst's shops will offer 20 to 70 percent off select merchandise this weekend as part of the Business Improvement District's Black Friday, which will also feature live music and free food tastings.

Participating restaurants will also be offering discounts as well as free tastings on Friday and Sunday. Items include whoopie pies at Cravingz, franks in a blanket at King David Deli and chocolate chip cookies at Le Chocolat. Pump it Up of Cedarhurst is offering two-hour playtimes for kids, so parents can shop worry free (see details below). 

"While Cedarhurst has blossomed into an arena of modern suburbia, it has retained the charm of yesteryear," the BID wrote in a release. "Offering the finest in services, it remains a quaint yet vibrant village rich in history and tradition."

The Agua Clara Band will perform at the corner of Cedarhurst and Central avenues on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More music is in the works for Sunday.

There will be plenty of parking, as all ten municipal lots are free Saturday and Sunday. From Thanksgiving, Nov. 24, through Dec. 26, parking in the lots will be free Monday through Friday, starting at noon. This does not include metered parking on streets and permit parking areas in the lots.
