Jolie Fleur Offers High End Fashion For Every Affair

Hewlett boutique has developed a loyal clientele through the latest fashions and personalized service.

has made a name for itself in the Hewlett community over the last decade by offering women of any shape and size a one-stop shop for all their fashion essentials.

The family-owned business is run by Dianne and David Miller, who took years of experience within the fashion and retail fields to open up their very own shop.

Through the spring and summer months, Jolie Fleur stocks an abundance of classic tees, shorts and vibrant swimwear. Although dresses are a part of the year-round inventory, more light weight sundresses and maxi dresses are seen on the shelves after March. Also seen a lot this season are long tanks and loose cover-ups, perfect for the beach or a casual night out.

When temperatures cool down a bit, the women's shop warms up with stylish jeans and outerwear, and a large inventory of sweaters and cardigans. Aside from apparel, Jolie Fleur also boasts a wide range of undergarments and lingerie.

Most of the store's customers have developed a long-term relationship with the company, and when it comes to that special day that every woman waits for, clients can turn to a familiar place. On top of their regular inventory, Jolie Fleur also features a bridal department.

"Jolie Fleur is definitely a major experience, and we like it best when we can help a customer shop through several of our departments," Dianne Miller said.

Fitting in the local scene: Being located in such a tight-knit community, Jolie Fleur does quite well, according to Miller.

"I can say for sure that we offer the best personalized service," she explained. "Our customers appreciate that."

Though Hewlett has grown to love Jolie Fleur, the clientele reaches cities far beyond, Miller said. Shoppers from all corners of Long Island and New York City travel to get the special Jolie Fleur touch, and when customers relocate outside of the state, they can usually be found shopping back in the Hewlett shop when they're back in the Five Towns.

"We have a lot of regular shoppers," Miller said. "We love them. They feel like family. The women who are here frequently are the first to know when a hot designer hits our floor and they can get first dibs on new merchandise."

Jolie Fleur extends special invitations to those shoppers as well, allowing them to get a sneak peek before the general public, and of course, learn of an upcoming sale.

A bit more: When the Miller family opened Jolie Fleur in 2000, they brought a heap of experience to the new location.

"Before we opened, David and I worked in wholesale and have been to both boutiques and department stores in over 30 states," Miller told Patch.

The duo knew just what it would take to jumpstart a hot new boutique, and are readily prepared for constant change, whether it be with the latest fashion trends or adjusting to the state of the economy.

"Customer buying habits adjusted to meet the new state of the economy," Miller said. "Of course, there is a difference, and we have adjusted several aspects of our business to meet those needs."
