Readers’ Choice: Best Pancakes in the Five Towns

Where do you go to order a stack of smile-inducing pancakes?

They come topped with fruit, stuffed, buttered up or slathered in syrup. They can make a grown man’s eyes dilate to silver-dollar proportions at the sight of a hot stack.

We’re talking pancakes, of course. Pancakes are that breakfast staple that go great any time of day; Solo or loaded, with eggs or a side of sausage.

Time to weigh in. Five Towns Patch is looking to unearth the best pancakes in town. Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we ask you — our readers — to tell us your top picks.

Each Monday we’ll list our nominees — this week it’s pancakes — and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.

Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate food fight poll.

Friday we’ll announce our winner.

I am a pancake aficionado. Having eaten in many places in the Five Towns, I can state with a certainty that the little known Lawrence Diner on Burnside Ave. has the best pancakes in the Five Towns.
