SANTINO THANKS STUDENTS FOR ASSISTANCE AT HEWLETT HOUSE

Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino joined students from J. Levy Lakeside School in Merrick to express deep thanks and appreciation for all their efforts in assisting Hewlett House with new landscaping. As part of a project from teacher Sue Bechinna's class, the students helped plant a working vegetable garden as well as pink impatients for Breast Cancer Awareness. Their efforts is the latest in the school's eight year partnership with the facility that houses 1 in 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition.
