Branch Boulevard has been closed off after a portion of the road collapsed.
To access North Woodmere, residents are advised to find alternative routes on Mill Road.
Branch is a county road, and workers were on the scene to assess the situation, according to sources.
Legislator Howard Kopel told Patch that repairs are "going to take a while"
"I spoke to the commissioner, and it’s a major repair job," he said. "I’m going to push on it."
