1. I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful Purim yesterday. Be sure to send your pictures to me at stephen.bronner@patch.com. We're looking for kids in costume, awesome Purim baskets and Five Towners enjoying the festive day.
2. Protesters held a rally at the Town of Hempstead animal shelter on Saturday after an that recently surfaced showed shelter workers mistreating a cat. The shelter's director, who appeared in the video, was reassigned as a result. Check out our video coverage at 8 a.m.
