Kate Murray, R-Levittown, has been re-elected as Supervisor for the Town of Hempstead.

Murray defeated Democrat Felix G. Procacci 96,975 to 46,821. She will continue serving in the post she’s held since 2003.

Nasrin G. Ahmad, R-Salisbury, will serve her first full term as Hempstead Town Clerk, as she topped Democrat Jasmine Garcia Vieux, D-Levittown, in a close race 70,963 to 65,554. She took over as Town Clerk in September after Mark Bonilla was removed from his post.
