An online campaign to raise tuition money for a college-bound teen in Inwood is nearing its deadline.

Andrei St. Vistal is a student heading to college in Arizona and has to raise $2,500 by January. So far, the campaign has raised $843, just over one-third of its goal.

According to the campaign page:

In May of 2012 , Andrei St. Vistal a HardKnox member for the past 4 years lost his mother to Brain Cancer just a day before mothers day. Struggling with his loss, Andrei made a choice to keep pushing forward to make his mother proud. With a few other road blocks that Andrei had to face he made a choice to not give up and made sure no matter how long it took he would receive his High School diploma. We are so proud to announce that Andrei St. Vistal has Been excepted and will attend CENTRAL ARIZONA college in January of 2014. All donations will help offset the cost of his tuition. We are reaching out to everyone we know asking for assistance in making this happen. Andrei has to raise $2500 by January 2014. No donation is to small or too large as long as it comes from your heart . Thank you in advance and God bless you all.
