Avert a Fashion Emergency with Pinterest

How to never have anything to wear thanks to Pinterest.

How is it that we, as women (and some men), can stand in front of a closet overflowing with clothes and insist we have "nothing to wear"? With a little creativity and some help from Pinterest, here's how you can always have something to wear.

For those of you who don't know, Pinterest.com is essentially an online bulletin board. Once you are a member (don't worry, it's free to join), you can post photos (otherwise known as "pins") onto your virtual bulletin board. Your pins can be anything from clothing to crafts, or appetizers to adventure locales.

What I love best about Pinterest is that it gives you the ability in just a few clicks to throw together the perfect outfit in minutes. Let's say you have a pink maxi skirt and want to keep it casual for a night out. One pinner simply added a cropped denim jacket as her top and layered on some chunky jewelry. Another dressed up a pair of skinny jeans with a blue and white striped tee and a beige blazer.

But Pinterest doesn't end there. There are pins on 101 ways to tie a scarf, 50 or more outfits using a denim shirt and even pins on how to make your own jewelry, mittens and tops.

Give Pinterest.com a whirl but be warned: it's addicting!
