This Weekends North Fork Recommendations, May 10

Mother’s Day Weekend, spend it on the North Fork; plenty to do and lots of Greenhouses and Nurseries will be open for the early flower sales for your yards. Mom will enjoy the day out and there are the usual great events to enjoy while you are here.

You still have the Riverhead Farmers Market and the Glass Greenhouse to start the day and find local products and early produce.

As usual all the Wineries are open and doing their best to provide you with the best experience and wines available. Most feature entertainment to entice you to visit, this weekend I don’t have a specific winery to recommend.

Lunch this weekend I’m recommending aMano in Mattituck. A Tom Schaudel Restaurant, aMano brings a touch of the Tuscan countryside to Mattituck. The Menu eatures wood oven fired pizzas and uniquely Italian pasta dishes which bring back the tastes of traditional Italy. Located on the Main Road 13560 Main Rd, Mattituck, NY 11952 (631) 298-4800. http://www.amanorestaurant.com/

For dinner with a twist try Tweeds in downtown Riverhead at 17 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901
