Ferdinand Mignogna, Born in Lawrence, Dies at 79

Ferdinand “Fred” Mignogna, who was born in Lawrence, died on Oct. 18. He was 79.

Mignogna was born on Oct. 1, 1934, and continued living in New York until he moved to Oliver Springs, Tenn. in 1993, according to a death notice.

He worked as an auto mechanic and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mignogna enjoyed watching baseball, football, and NASCAR.

He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Frances Drahos Mignogna, wife Eileen Marie Mignogna and sister Deloris Wagner.

He is survived by son Charles Mignogna and his wife Lisa of Holtsville; sons Michael and Brian Mignogna of Oliver Springs; daughter Mary Hinkle and husband Ronnie; daughter Brittney Mignogna of Oliver Springs; and six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by brother Robert Mignogna of Center Moririches, sisters Barbara Hurst of Ashville, N.C., and Deborah Sylvia of Harriman, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
