Paul Saponaro, of Lower Pottsgrove Township, Pa., died on Sept. 5, at the Phoenixville Hospital. He was 42.
Saponaro was born in Far Rockaway to Annunziata "Nancy" (Petraroli) and the late Albert Saponaro. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School and served as a paramedic/firefighter in Inwood. Saponaro worked for the LILCO in New York and was most recently employed as a computer engineer for Abtech Support, Inc., in Carlsbad, Ca. for the past six years.
He was very interested in computer technology, science fiction and movies and was a "Trekkie."
Saponaro is survived by his mother; wife Maureen D. (Pye) Saponaro; daughter Alessandra Saponaro; son Adam Campbell of Phoenixville, Pa.; brother Anthony and sister in law Cathy Saponaro; brother Frank and sister in law Donna; and nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home at 955 Charlotte Street, Pottstown, Pa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta at 1228 Main Street, Linfield, Pa. Interment will be St. Aloysius New Cemetery in Pottstown, Pa.
