Arrests for Shoplifting and DWI, March 20-26

Police also report theft from autos in nearby town.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

The Fourth Precinct said the following individuals were arrested and charged with shoplifting:

  • Bracha Barak, 32, of Lawrence, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on March 19
  • Sigalit Cervone, 46, of Oceanside, at the Kohl’s in Oceanside on March 20
  • Meera Kurharan, 17, Orvina Dukharan, 19, and Arnold Seecoomar, 24, all of Hollis, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on March 20
  • Janine Powers, 45, of Rockaway Point, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on March 21
  • Parabattie Maraj, 46, of Queens, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on March 22
  • Kayri Torres, 19, of Lynbrook, at the H&M in Green Acres Mall on March 22
  • Lilian Maldonado, 21, of Brooklyn, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on March 25
  • Shamoni Fray, 24, of Jamaica, at the Kohl’s in Green Acres Mall on March 25
  • Emmanuel Ourum, 25, of Far Rockaway, at the Lowe’s in North Woodmere on March 25

The Fourth Precinct said the following individuals were arrested and charged with DWI:

  • Paul Bauers, 68, of Oceanside, on Anchor Avenue in Oceanside on March 21
  • Kevin Hogan, 27yoa, of Arlington, Texas, at Rockaway Parkway and Oxford Street in Valley Stream on March 22
  • Miles McFarlane, 20, of Valley Stream, at Mill Road and Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream on March 22
  • Tara Sweeney, 40, of East Rockaway, at Rhame Avenue and Dart Street in East Rockaway on March 23

An unknown suspect(s) between March 22 and 23 stole a wallet with credit cards and personal papers out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked in an Alexine Avenue driveway in East Rockaway.

An unknown suspect(s) on March 23 stole money out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked in a Denton Avenue driveway in East Rockaway.
