Boy Injured in Yacht Club Accident Dies
The child was struck by a boat propeller while he was swimming.
The 10-year-old boy who was struck by a boat propeller while swimming near Cedarhurst Yacht Club, has died, Nassau County police confirmed Saturday.
Police, Coast Guard, marine, and aviation units rushed to the scene after the accident occurred Friday and the boy was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated. He had been listed in serious condition.
Police did not release the identity of the boy.
