And mayor Parise convienetly just today releases a statement which includes among other things the reminder 'The Mayor makes it clear to us on the board that OUR RESIDENTS WILL NOT BE TAXED FOR IMPROVEMENTS. Every bit of road and sidewalk work, every lamppost, bench and planter, every improvement in the park, from playground to concert, are ALL achieved, created and completed through grants, donations and the Mayor working his magic getting us funds from other elected officials. We are all so lucky to have a Mayor that gets better with age…he never tires…sharp as ever…always thinking of our beloved Cedarhurst' Why not spend some money on cameras at the station instead???

Jordan, it is sickening who ever did that- but have you taken the LIRR recently-did you notice that all station platforms have camera's? The MTA would be partially responsible for any camera installation, gotta mobilize and get them to do their jobs.

My point exactly LIRR must install and/or monitor but if Cedarhurst is having an issue with vandalism it is incumbent upon the Village to also be on top of it...its been going on for a year!

I really do not know if the village could do much. Mayor Parise could call and complain but if the ppl are not out there with him, it's gonna take a lonnnngggg time before you see anything get done. Trust me! It's been a year already----I think the citizens should take it straight to upper mgmt.
