Cops: Cedarhurst Man Stole $1,100 Watch

Owner then found watch on eBay.

Police arrested a Cedarhurst man on Thursday for allegedly stealing a $1,100 watch from a car parked in a Woodmere driveway in July.

Javier Rios, 21, is charged four-degree grand larceny and will be arraigned on Friday.

On July 16, 2012, at 11:45 p.m., Rios allegedly entered a 2006 Nissan parked in an Elm Street driveway and took a stainless stell Sub 300T watch, according to police. He then allegedly sold the watch to a second-hand dealer in Inwood, who then solid it to another dealer.

The victim found his watch on eBay and notified police. Detectives were able to track the watch to Manhattan, where it was recovered.
