An accident on Route 878 in Lawrence prompted Nassau County Police to partially close down the roadway early Friday.
Police said the early morning accident happened Friday in the southbound lanes of 878.

Cops closed the road at Cedarlawn Avenue and extended the investigation through the southbound lanes of the Atlantic Beach Bridge. The road was reopened as of 1:17 p.m. Friday.
