Two men hit victim in the head when he couldn't open a safe, cops said.

Nassau County Police are searching for two men they say held up a Five Towns man and hit him over the head when he couldn't open a safe.

Cops said the 20-year-old man returned to his Woodmere home on Neptune Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. As he got out of his car, two unknown men approached him and demanded cash, cops said. They then took the victim's cellphone and car keys before ordering him to let them into his house, police said.

Once inside, the two men forced the victim upstairs where they ordered him to open a safe, cops said. When the victim wasn't able to open it, one of the men hit him in the head with an unknown object before fleeing, said police.
