Cops Hunting Valley Stream Bank Robber

Nearby TD Bank robbed Wednesday morning, cops said.

Police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed a Valley Stream bank Wednesday morning.

Nassau County Police said that an unknown man presented a demand note to a teller at TD Bank on West Merrick Avenue. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled on foot northbound on Central Avenue, cops said.

The incident happened at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, police reported.

Detectives described the subject as a black man, 20-30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a beard. He was reportedly wearing a black winter hat and a black jacket at the time of the incident, cops said.

Nine employees and 4 customers were present at the time of the robbery, police reported. None were said to be injured.
