Cops: Identity Thief Stole $14K from Bank Account

Police searching for woman who withdrew almost $14,000 from a victim's bank account, once in Woodmere.

Cops are searching for a woman they say withdrew almost $14,000 that wasn't hers from a Woodmere bank in July.

According to Nassau County Police, the subject withdrew $13,800 from a victim's bank account at JP Morgan Chase Banking. She made three separate withdrawals in Woodmere, Manhattan, and the Bronx, cops reported.

The Woodmere incident happened July 9 at about 8:30 p.m., detectives said.

Crime Stoppers and Nassau Police asked anyone with information about the identity theft to call their hotline at 1-800-244-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous.
