Cops: Inwood Man Stole Cooking Fuel in Cedarhurst

An Inwood man was arrested early Monday for allegedly stealing fuel cans from a Cedarhurst eatery, police said.

James R. Isom, 42, is charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny. He was arrested at 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 2 at the Lawrence railroad station.

According to police, Ison was allegedly seen on video surveillance on Nov. 30 at 6:30 a.m. entering the storage area of Wok Tov, located at 594 Central Ave., and taking three cases of chafing dish fuel and two bottles of soda.

During the investigation, police also determined that Isom allegedly entered the rear yard of a residence on Forest Avenue in Woodmere on June 29 and took two Trek bicycles.

No proceeds have been recovered at this time.
