Cops: Man Drove Drunk with 2 Children in Car

A Far Rockaway man was charged with Leandra's Law violations after Nassau County Police said he drove drunk with two children in the car.

Police said Christian Bisono, 40, of Far Rockaway, was driving north on North Central Avenue in Valley Stream "in an erratic manner." Police stopped him after finding out he was drunk, placed him under arrest, cops reported. 

At the time, a 10-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl were in the car with Bisono, detectives stated. The children were brought to a nearby friend's house following the arrest, which took place at 3:55 a.m. Sunday.

Bisono was charged with two counts of aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated, and DWI while failing to stay in a single lane. He was arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
