Cops: Man Hit Victim With Wrench

Incident occurred on Monday.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Police arrested an Elmont man on Wednesday who allegedly hit another man on the top of his head with a wrench in Hewlett.

On Monday at about 1:30 p.m., Jason Shure, 20, of Elmont, allegedly struck the 21-year-old victim in the vicinity of Peninsula Boulevard and Mill Road, police said. The victim sustained a laceration to his head that required medical attention at a local area hospital.

Shure was charged with second-degree assault.
