Cops: Men Steal Phone, Cash in Deal Gone Bad

Two people who agreed to buy a projector from a man in the Walmart parking lot in Valley Stream on Monday instead robbed him of his iPhone and cash, according to police.

At 2:25 p.m. on June 17, the two black male subjects, who were selling candy in the parking lot, negotiated to buy a project from the 23-year-old victim, police said. The victim agreed to drive the two men to the Valley Stream Railroad Station to complete the sale, but once there, the men forcibly took an iPhone and $580 cash and fled on a westbound train. No injuries were reported.

The first subject is described as 6 foot 2 inches, 25 to 35 years old with a muscular build, bushy eyebrows and wearing a blue shirt, khaki shorts and carrying a gray backpack. The second subject is described as six foot, 200 pounds, in his early 20s with dreadlocks and wearing a white shirt.
