Cops: Mother and Daughter Attacked and Robbed Woman

Pair from Inwood attacked 18-year-old in Lawrence after teens had an earlier confrontation, police said.

A mother and daughter from Inwood were arrested Friday for the violent robbery of an 18-year-old woman in Lawrence that occurred in July, police said.

Christine Autry, 17, and her mother, Pristine Autry, 39, allegedly approached the female victim on July 18 at 12:30 a.m. and repeatedly punched, choked, kicked and bit her, according to police. The victim and Christine Autry apparently had a confrontation earlier in the evening. The mother and daughter stole the woman’s handbag, cash and cell phone before fleeing the scene, police said.

Christine Autry and Pristine Autry were arrested at their Inwood home and are each being charged with robbery in the second degree. Their arraignment was scheduled for Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
