Cops Nab Capital One Robber

A Queens man faces robbery charges for holding up two Capital One banks nearby, according to Nassau County Police.

John Graham, 31, of Jamaica, handed demand notes to tellers at Capital One banks in Uniondale and Valley Stream in November and December, cops said.

According to police, a man presented a robbery demand note to a teller at Capital One Bank in Valley Stream on Dec. 13. The teller complied and gave the subject an undetermined amount of cash, cops said. The subject fled north on foot on North Central Avenue and then east on Milford Street, police said. A similar robbery was reported at a Capital One in Uniondale on Nov. 12, cops said.

No one was injured in either incident but multiple employees and customers were present each time, police reported.

Graham is charged with two counts of third-degree robbery. He will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
