Cops: Rocks Thrown Through Car, Home Windows

13 instances of criminal mischief to homes and cars were reported across Nassau County last week, according to Nassau County Police.

Homeowners in East Rockaway and Seaford reported rocks had been thrown through house windows on April 24 and 25. On April 26 and 28, rocks were reportedly thrown through car windshields in Valley Stream and Hewlett respectively.

Other incidents included spray paint graffiti at a high school, slashed car tires, and damaged car mirrors.

  • April 24: Wyngate Drive West, North Valley Stream; front door of home damaged.
  • April 24: Adams Road, East Rockaway; rock thrown through home's window.
  • April 25: Lawrence Road, Seaford; rocks thrown through home's window and PVC fence damaged.
  • April 27: Clayton Avenue, East Atlantic Beach; PVC fence damaged.
  • April 30: Hicksville High School; rear part of main building spray painted.

Criminal Mischief to Cars

  • April 25: Lauman Lane, Hicksville; multiple cars reportedly damaged.
  • April 26: Dogwood Road, Valley Stream; rock thrown through car windshield.
  • April 27: Wellington Road, East Meadow; driver-side mirror damaged on car.
  • April 28: Bergman Drive, Hewlett; rock thrown through car windshield.
  • April 29: Hollywood Crossing, Lawrence; three tires on car reported damaged.
  • April 29: Central Avenue, Cedarhurst; car tires slashed.
  • April 29: North Corona Avenue, North Valley Stream; car damaged while parked.
  • April 30: Cedarhurst Avenue, Cedarhurst; car tire slashed.
