Cops Seek Suspect in Five Towns Bank Robberies

Nassau Police have identified Carl Petronio as the suspect in two Five Towns bank robberies.

Nassau County Police have identified the suspect in two Five Towns bank robberies and are currently in a search for him.

According to police, on Jan. 24 at 10:47 a.m., Carl Petronio presented a demand note to a teller at the Lawrence Bank of America and fled with an undetermined amount of money.

Two months later, on March 28 at 11 a.m., Petronio attempted to rob the Citibank on Central Avenue in Cedarhurst, but left empty handed, police said.

No injuries were reported at either robbery.

Petronio is a 53-year-old white male. He is listed at 5-foot-6, 180 pounds, with salt and pepper hair, balding in the front and is possibly unshaven.
