Cops: Teens on Bikes Swipe Wallet from Car

Five Towns teens took wallet from parked car in Cedarhurst, police said.

Two Five Towns teens were charged with grand larceny after stealing a wallet and riding away on their bikes, reported Nassau County Police.

Cops said Andre Palmer, 17, of Inwood, and Raytawon Wright, 17, Cedarhurst, went into a parked car and picked up a wallet. The two rode off after noticing they were being watched by the victim, whose car was parked on Oceanpoint Avenue in Cedarhurst, police reported.

The victim called 911 and a Fourth Precinct officer found and stopped the duo near Park Avenue and Linwood Avenue, officer said. Wright stopped for the officer but Palmer ignored the officer, rode his bike around the police car, and continued down Park Avenue, cops said. Palmer was later found on Pearsall Avenue.
