Cops: Woman Stabs Friend Outside Inwood Deli
Valley Stream woman charged with assault and weapon possession.
A Valley Stream woman faces assault charges after Nassau County Police say she stabbed a friend in the stomach in Inwood.
Cops said the victim, an unidentified 23-year-old man, was leaving Inwood Discount Supermarket on Bayview Avenue when he ran into Katrina Cruz, of Valley Stream.
For an unspecified reason, Cruz threw a cup in the victim's face before stabbing him in the stomach, police reported.

The assault happened at 12:45 a.m. Friday, cops said.
The victim was rushed to St. John's Hospital for treatment.

Investigators located and arrested Cruz in her home. She was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon. She will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
