Nassau Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a Brooklyn man who was found Friday in a Great Neck dumpster. The gruesome discovery was made about 4 p.m. at the Getty gas station located at 120 Cuttemill Road, police said.

Cops are searching for a subject they say broke into a nearby home and tried to choke a woman, according to Nassau County Crime Stoppers.

Authorities expect that an Islip Terrace man and woman will be charged with five heists at nail salons across Nassau County. The robberies occurred between Dec. 23 and Dec. 30 in Valley Stream, Franklin Square, Wantagh and New Hyde Park, police said. The pair was already arrested for nail salon robberies in Suffolk.
Cops: Four Charged in Fake Property Sale Scheme
Four people conspired to steal $50,000 by creating the fake sale of a Bronx home, according to Nassau County Police. Detectives reported the arrest of Lawrence Powell, 33, of Huntington, Juan Carlos Soto, 33, of Brooklyn, Anika Greene, 40, of Manhattan, and Kevin Kang, 51, of Farmingville, at 11 a.m. in Garden City.
According to police, the four arranged the fraudulent sale of 2529B Grand Avenue in the Bronx by pretending to be officials in the process of purchasing the home. Powell acted as the property purchaser, Soto acted as the title closer, Greene acted as a paralegal, and Kang acted as the property seller, cops said.
A 16-year-old was charged with stealing three idling cars from driveways and garages in West Hempstead within two hours, according to Nassau County Police.

Arrest Made in Murder of Man Found Shot in Car Nearby
Police made an arrest after they discovered the body of a Queens man shot multiple times in Valley Stream. Orlando Ortiz, 31, of Valley Stream, was charged with second-degree murder for killing Richard Baccus, 50, of Rosedale, according to Nassau County Police.
