Water Hazard: Errant Boat Hits Rocks Near Golf Course

The boat apparently broke loose from nearby dock.

The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department and Nassau County Police responded to a boat in distress off the property early Saturday morning.

According to fire personnel, emergency responders found a boat had hit the rocks and marsh area in the water near the 18th hole of the golf course.

After finding the boat unoccupied, it was determined the boat came loose from a docking area to the rear of a residence in the Harbor view section of Lawrence.
