Former Hewlett Fire Department Chief Otto Kohlmier Jr. was recently elected president of the board of directors of the Fire Chiefs Council of Nassau County. Kohlmier was sworn in by his three sons, Brian, Robert and William as well as members of Hewlett Fire Department, at a ceremony held at the Franklin Avenue firehouse.
