Fourth Precinct Report, April 11-17

Police report arrests and incidents of theft, damage and identity theft.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Latoya T. Covington, 28, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on April 13 and charged with shoplifting at the at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence.
  • Robert J. Smith, 52, of Jamaica, was arrested on April 14 and charged with DWI on Nassau Expressway in Lawrence.

  • An unknown person(s) between April 10 and 11 removed a bicycle from a garage on Stevens Place in Lawrence.
  • An unknown person(s) on April 11 took four hubcaps from a vehicle that was parked on Franklin Place in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) between April 11 and 12 caused damage to the rear window of a vehicle that was parked on Ivy Hill Road in Woodsburgh.
  • An unknown person(s) between April 12 and 13 stole a bicycle from an unlocked detached garage on Herrick Drive in Lawrence.
  • A resident of Dune Road in Atlantic Beach reported to police on April 13 that they were the victim of identity theft when an unknown person(s) fraudulently accessed their bank information.
  • An unknown person(s) between April 13 and 14 took a bicycle from a garage on Club Drive in Woodmere.
