Fourth Precinct Report, April 26 to May 3

Police report incidents of theft, damage and identity theft.

Theft/damage

  • A complainant reported to police on April 27 that the letters “SU” and “DPL” along with various other images were spray painted on to and tracks.
  • on Burnside Avenue in North Lawrence reported to police on April 28 that three unknown subjects took $72 from a register using a master key.
  • A resident of Forest Avenue in Woodmere reported to police on April 29 that an lladro statue and assorted clothing were missing from their residence.
  • A complainant reported to police on April 29 that the driver’s side window of their vehicle was smashed while it was parked on Carman Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • A complainant reported to police on May 1 that a radio and DVD player was taken from their vehicle while it was parked on Sutton Place in Lawrence.
  • A resident of Howe Court in Woodmere reported to police on May 1 that their front gate was damaged.
  • A complainant reported to police on May 2 that two license plates were removed from their vehicle while it was parked on Lawrence Place in Lawrence.
  • A complainant reported to police on May 2 that an unknown person cut the lock on their mountain bike and took it from where it was being stored on Rockaway Turnpike in Cedarhurst.

Identity theft

  • A resident of Westwood Road in Woodmere reported to police on April 10 that she was the victim of identity theft when multiple unauthorized debit transactions were made with her bank account.
  • A resident of Far Rockaway reported to police on April 25 that they were the victim of identity theft. A cashier at Marshalls went against the victim’s wishes and processed a credit card account in their name.
