Fourth Precinct Report, April 3-11

Police report shoplifting arrests and incidents of theft, damage and identity theft.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • A resident of Ave A in Inwood reported to police that on March 10 they were victim of identity theft when multiple online fraudulent transactions were made to their Visa credit card.
  • A resident of Buckingham Road in Cedarhurst reported to police that between March 28 and April 10 they were the victim of identity theft when fraudulent transactions were made with their ATM card.
  • An unknown person(s) on April 2 caused damage to four windows of a residence on Atlantic Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) between April 3 and 4 scratched the driver's side door of a vehicle that was parked on Roosevelt Avenue in Inwood.
  • An unknown person(s) on April 4 stole an HD camcorder, memory card and a case from a vehicle that was parked on Hungry Harbor Road in North Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) on April 5 removed a newspaper on multiple occasions from a business on Central Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) on April 5 took a bicycle from a detached garage on Woodmere Boulevard in Woodmere.
  • Robert Coleson, 24, of Brooklyn, and an unidentified juvenile were arrested on April 5 and charged with shoplifting at the at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike in North Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) between April 5 and 9 opened the clear dome of 10 parking meters and removed an internal mechanism, which caused them to become inoperable.
  • An unknown person(s) between April 6 and 9 took a bicycle from the backyard of a residence on Grove Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) on April 7 threw a rock at the window of a vehicle that was parked on Broadway in Hewlett.
  • An unknown person(s) between April 8 and 9 caused damage to the passenger side of a vehicle that was parked on Frost Lane in Lawrence.
  • An unknown person(s) on April 9 keyed a vehicle that was parked on Westminster Road in Cedarhurst.
