Fourth Precinct Report, April 5 to 12

Police report arrests and incidents of theft, damage and fraud.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Quaniqua Williams, 22, of Jamaica, was arrested on April 6 and charged with stealing six Xbox games at in North Lawrence. Police said Williams concealed the items in a baby stroller.
  • Bhanoomatti Narain, 47, of Hollis, was arrested on April 9 and charged with shoplifting assorted skin care products at in Meadowmere.
  • Jose Fuentes, 30, of Inwood, was arrested on April 10 and charged with DWI and driving with a suspended license on Loretta Street in Inwood.

Thefts

  • Copper pipes were reported taken between March 20 and April 9 from 11 executive cabins at the New Plaza Beach Club in Atlantic Beach.
  • A cell phone, keys, money and a purse were reported taken from a table at the on April 10 while the victim was at a function there.

Damage

  • A large rock was reported thrown through the victim’s rear windshield and the car’s brake light was smashed on April 9 while the vehicle was parked on Cedar Avenue in Hewlett Bay Park.
  • A resident of Dolphin Drive in Hewlett reported to police on April 9 that the rear door of their residence was damaged.
  • A victim reported to police that the rear driver’s side window of their vehicle was shattered on April 10 while it was parked on Rockaway Turnpike in Meadowmere.

Identity theft

  • A resident of Hungry Harbor Road in North Woodmere reported to police that on Jan. 1 they were the victim of identity theft when a fraudulent Best Buy account was opened in their name by an unknown person.
  • A resident of Derby Avenue in Woodmere reported to police on April 5 that they were the victim of identity theft when multiple fraudulent purchases were made on their debit card.
  • A resident of Hewlett reported to police that they were the victim of identity theft on April 9 when multiple fraudulent charges were made on their debit card at the located in Hewlett.
  • A resident of Eagle Drive in North Woodmere reported to police on April 9 that several unauthorized withdrawals were made from their credit card account.
  • A resident of Mora Place in Woodmere reported to police that between April 8 to 10 they were the victim of identity theft when fraudulent withdrawals were made to their bank account at an ATM.
  • A resident of Monroe Street in Cedarhurst reported to police that between April 9 to 11 they were the victim of identity theft when three fraudulent withdrawals were made from her bank account.
