Fourth Precinct Report: Arrests, DWIs and Other Crimes

Police report incidents which took place between Nov. 25 and Dec. 14 in the Five Towns.

Arrests

  • Michelle Nooks, 40, of Jamaica, was arrested and charged with petit larceny on Nov. 30 at Marshalls, located at 345 Rockaway Tpke.
  • Regina Gargan, 29, of Long Beach, surrendered to police on Nov. 25 on Ibsen Street in Woodmere for a charge of grand larceny involving the theft of a wallet that had credit cards in it.
  • Benjamin Livermore, 29, of Springfield Gardens, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle on Dec. 2 at Nassau Expressway and Burnside Avenue in Inwood. Police say he was driving with a suspended license.
  • Barnaby Spann, 27, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle on Dec. 7 at Doughty Boulevard and Central Avenue in Inwood.
  • Aaron Williams 18, of Springfield Gardens, was arrested and charged for petit larceny on Nov. 29 at Burlington Coat Factory, located at 345 Rockaway Tpke. in Lawrence, where he was employed.
  • Calvin Myers, 42, of Hempstead, was arrested and charged with petit larceny on Dec. 1 at Best Buy, located at 345 Rockaway Tpke. in North Lawrence.
  • Dashawn Lawton, 29, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the 2nd degree on Nov. 30 at Burnside Avenue and West End Avenue in Inwood. Police said Lawton was driving an uninsured vehicle with a suspended license.
  • Maria Jesus Hercules, 51, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with petit larceny on Dec. 13 for the theft of a variety of items at Marshall's, located at 345 Rockaway Tpke. in North Lawrence.
  • Robert Weinmann, 24, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing on Nov. 22 on Linwood Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • A 17-year-old Inwood girl was arrested and charged with petit larceny on Dec. 12 at Marshall's, located at 345 Rockaway Tpke. in North Lawrence.
  • A 17-year-old Pleasantville girl was arrested and charged with criminal mischief on Dec. 11 on Bayview Avenue in Inwood, where police said she was responsible for damage incurred to the property of a taxi company.
  • Lance Walker, 22, of Inwood, was arrested on Dec. 5 on a warrant, issued due to disorderly conduct, at Burnside Avenue and Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence.

DWI

  • Kevin Singh, 26, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with DWI with a BAC of .16 percent on Nov. 25 at Maple Road and Sheridan Boulevard in Inwood.
  • Steven Rohinsky, 30, of Cedarhurst, was arrested and charged with DWI with a BAC of .10 percent on Nov. 28 at Rockaway Turnpike and Atlantic Avenue in Cedarhurst. Police said Rohinsky was drunk and operating an uninspected, uninsured vehicle with a suspended registration and was involved in a four-car accident.

Assault

  • The suspect and victim were being given a ride home on Dec. 7 in Inwood from a bar when they got into an argument, police said. The suspect allegedly placed a burning cigarette on the victim's hands and then struck her in the head with a beer bottle. The suspect then followed the victim as she jumped out of the car and slammed her head on to the concrete, police said, causing her to lose consciousness.
