Police report arrests for shoplifting and DWI and incidents of theft from vehicles.

Arrests

  • Yakini M. Brown, 35, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with shoplifting at the located at 1296 Broadway in Hewlett.
  • Odirr E. Torres-Nolasco, 25, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with DWI on Morris Avenue in Inwood.

Incidents

  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 13 and 14 removed a laptop from a vehicle that was parked on Roger Avenue in Inwood.
  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 18 and 19 took money from a vehicle that was parked in a Pacific Avenue driveway in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 18 and 19 stole money from a vehicle that was parked on Roselle Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 18 and 19 took money from a vehicle that was parked on Roselle Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 18 and 19 removed a GPS unit from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Randall Avenue in North Lawrence.
  • An unknown person(s) on Aug. 19 stole a bicycle from the front porch of an Allen Road residence in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) on Aug. 19 took a drill from a van that was parked on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence.
  • An unknown person(s) on Aug. 19 removed money and sunglasses from a vehicle that was parked on North Wood Lane in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 19 and 20 took money and children's clothing from a vehicle that was parked on North Wood Lane in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 19 and 20 stole a GPS unit and an iPod charger from a vehicle that was parked on North Wood Lane in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) between Aug. 19 and 20 removed a GPS unit and money from a vehicle that was parked on Pine Street in Woodmere.
